Can you relative link to parent?

    I’m trying to create a navigtion widget that will allow the user to go back to the parent, how can I make a relative link so that it will work on all pages that sends the user back to parent article?

    I would strongly advise against trying to use relative links in any WordPress site. They can – and often do – behave unpredictable. Stick to full (absolute) urls.

    I understand.. but if I am going to put it in a sidebar.. or possibly use it on multiple sites, I can’t do it without relative links.. so can it be done?

    well I guess you know something I don’t.. please share.. If I want to create a sidebar widget, that will always go up 1 level to parent, how do I include an absolute link?

    Parent1 > Page 1
    Parent 1 > Page 2

    Parent 2 > Page 1
    Parent 2 > Page 2

    Same link returns user to Parent of appropriate page from any page? How?

    Have a look at List_Sub-Pages for some ideas.
