Can you recommend a featured content plugin?

    I’ve wasted over an hour looking for a featured content plugin. I’m not picky. I just want one that a) works b) doesn’t make me go hunting for basic instructions. I tried Featured Content Showcase (does not work in the latest), WP Slideshow (appears twice on the page?!), and another one I can’t remember. Any recommendations? Please? Thanks!

    Seriously, guys. I’ve been through a dozen of these and most of them are garbage. The ONE I got to work did not have the features I was looking for. Does anyone have a working featured content slide show in the lastest version that they can recommend? I’m looking of the type that will show the image and overlay the title, description and then link to the post. I would really like Dynamic Content Widget if I could get it do to anything.

    All this testing I’ve been doing was with the theme twenty ten. When it finally occurred to me to use a different theme, they worked! If anyone wants to take a look at his, I have featured image showcase installed you you can see it not working here in 2010 here: http://www.intuito.biz/tester.

    Really hoping for some input…
