   I want to point categories to unique urls. I dont want to just change the look of the category url, but I also want to point it to a unique address.

   For example:

   http://www.mysite.com/events --> http://www.bbc.co.uk/

   Is this possible, does anyone have plugin or indeed instructions to undertake the changes. I dont want to do it with all categories, only specific ones.

   You can use the URL redirection facility on the web host's control panel.
   If you are comfortable with hacking .htaccess file, you can effect such redirection through that also. But you must decide whether you want to make it permanent or temporary.
