Can wordpress build a site like this?

Hi all, I have a online gardening website which selles plants hedging etc, its a full e-commerce site.

My question is I want to build a gardeing information site now rather than a e-commerce site but I want it to be simular to my e-commerce site but without the cart and buy now buttons etc and also to have a online forium, articles, how to etc as well as plant catorgories etc.

Is wordpress suitable for this or am I looking in the wrong place. Its wordpress plugins that have attracted me here.
