Can Wordbooker do 214 x 214 thumbs on FB? (10 posts)

Just notices all the competition on Facebook having their posts 214px x 214px images, which is much bigger than what Wordbooker is posting (100 x 100).

I can get the 214 if I upload a size ratio close and share manually, but it won't work through wordbooker... Is there an option I'm missing, or is anyone else having this issue? Don't want to stop using plugin.

Wordbooker doesn't set the image sizes - its a restriction imposed by FB - if you look FB uses, where it can 500 by 500 images.

I'll look into the API and ask round on the developers area.

Can you give me some FB urls showing the larger image? None of the developers I talk to are aware of any changes.

Wordbooker in 2.2 (and I think in the last couple of 2.1 releases) creates its own 500*500 images to use.

Also can you give me a couple of your blog urls which Wordbooker is apparently using 100*100 images when posted to FB.

    Here is a screenshot.

Top is through wordbooker. Bottom is manually shared.

    Hope that helps clarify.

But if I look at those two pages I see:

    http://www.tty.org.uk/wordbooker/x1.png

    and

    http://www.tty.org.uk/wordbooker/x2.png

Where the images are the same size.

If I click on the time then I get a different image for the heavy MMA image - but its still only 154 square

True, but the users news feed is where it is seen the most, which is why I would really like to fix this.

It would help if it was the same page - that blog link has no og tags (which means sharing is not going to work well) so I can't even work out which size image Wordbooker is trying to use.

I've found out what it is... posting via the API does images at approx 100*100. Sharing a post uses small images on the news feed but bigger (154 square images) if you look at a single post.

The URLS are different (API posts have image urls like : https://s-platform.ak.fbcdn.net/www/app_full_proxy.php?app=254577506873&v=1&size=z&cksum=82663c0a791a7519d59bfa6043c8aafb&src=http%3A%2F%2Fblogs.canalplan.org.uk%2Fdevelopment%2Ffiles%2F2013%2F02%2Fx1.png

But shares have image urls like :

    https://fbexternal-a.akamaihd.net/safe_image.php?d=AQANfDqokSv3xLsO&w=154&h=154&url=http%3A%2F%2Fblogs.canalplan.org.uk%2Fdevelopment%2Ffiles%2F2013%2F02%2Fx1.png&cfs=1

So it's an API limitation right? No way to publish 154px size images through API.

    Appreciate your help btw.

Its an API limitation but it seems odd that shares can have larger images.
