• What’s the secret to having more than one slider on our site?

I thought it was merely renaming my category… Seems that’s not the case and the category is repopulating itself with the first slider I created. Ack!

    What gives?

I know I’m pushing this plug-in against the wall but I can’t wait to have this working so that I can write a great review on it for my fellow creatives to use, too!

    Many thanks.

    Lisa,

    I created a demo page a while back: http://previewmywebsite.info/slider-demo/

On this page you will see two sliders in action and the shortcodes used to generate them.

Basically, you will need to create a category for each slider you want to show. In a future release, I am actually going to rename ‘categories’ to ‘sliders’. If you think about categories as sliders, you are just going to assign promotions to one or more sliders. You would then call the slider using the shortcode, like this:

    [promoslider category="category-slug"]

If you provide a category name that doesn’t exist or if there are no promotions linked to a category, the default action is to display all of your promotions… so don’t let this confuse you.

Also, make sure you are creating your categories under the ‘Promotions’->’Categories’ link in the admin menu.

Well, at the time, I thought that question was smart. 😉

    Thanks, Woodent. It’s fixed now.
