Can virtically align image in table

I have a table which I am editing using the fckeditor plugin and I have a problem aligning the contents….

The table is 5 columnns. In the first colum I have an image 193 x 188 pixels, in the next 4 columns I have a single word of text font size 28. I want to virtically centre the contents of each colum. Whatever I try, the text in columns 2,3,4 and 5 always aligns to the the bottom of the image in column 1.

I’ve set the cell properties to ‘virtical alignment: middle’ and have done the same for image properties. It appears to be fine in editing page but when I make it live the alignment is out.

I’ve even tried aligning the text in columns 2,3,4,5 to ‘top’ but this still aligns to the bottom of the image.

Can any help me find a way round this….?
