I am not sure how to describe my need without telling you what I want or intent to do.

    We do short term rentals.

We get many enquiries for different suburbs, and number of rooms required, luxury or budget rates.

I then contact homeowners to see if they could cater for the enquiry.

I would send an email to 50 or more owners (for that area) enquiring availability. They get back to me saying sorry no or yes they can do. They email me the pics and story or I lift it from their site. This is a mess.

I would then send an unbranded brochure to the guest with a rate that includes my commission. If the guest book I receive the money, confirm with the owner and pay him.

How I want to Change This Around Using Tools:

    • Instead of using emails to do this I want the owners to subscribe to classifieds ads I publish.
    • They will subscribe to classifieds related to their area/suburb (where the their accommodation is) and if possible only to those ads for the number of rooms they can cater for. (This subscription would be via email as they are RSS-clueless. I was thinking of using Feedburner for this) .
    • If they can accommodate they would send me an unbranded brochure via email – I think this would be the most simple way.
    • The idea is also that if they cannot fulfill an enquiry they would come here to this site of mine and publish the enquiry. But any responses, from other owners who could fulfil the enquiry, will not go directly to person who published the enquiry. Again I am the broker and all responses comes to me. I will then complete the enquiry and give 50% of the commission to the person who published the enquiry. Therefore the person (user) who publish the enquiry will not publish their contact details on the classified. I suppose I can set all classifieds to draft and then remove the user’s contact details and replace it with mine. As long as I use custom area to save the publisher’s contact details.
    • Is this possible with your plugin and what do you think if the idea?

  • Hi Johanhorak,

Unfortunately, AWPCP doesn’t have a way to subscribe to ads, so the core of what you want to do above wouldn’t be possible with AWPCP. Our subscription module is different–it allows users to purchase ad packages and post for a limited time within that package. But even with the RSS feeds module, you couldn’t do what you wanted above without some heavy customization to AWPCP.
