   Recently upgraded to 2.8.1, now if you try and post a comment on any of my posts that do not have a comment you are instantly redirected to my "about" page. This happens instantly as you try to type in your name. This only effects the posts with out comments. If I create a new post, no one can leave a comment without the redirect thing happening. The work-around is for me to post one comment, and moderate (approve) my own comment... then it's all right.

   Please explain how I can fix this.... and with step by step instructions please as I am new to all of this. my site is Pink Ladybug

   I cant tell you exactly how to fix that, but that IS source of the immediate problem.

   How did that happen and more importantly... how do I fix it and prevent it from happening again? Keep in mind I am relatively new at this so please be specific with the steps of instructions.

   Thanks for looking into this!

   I believe the problem is solved. In another forum it was suggested that I did not have the closing tag in place right here: Posted by:

   So, I went into the Authors & Users section and the link placed in the Biographical information to link back to the about page was missing the closing tag. I added it for each author/user and everything seems to be fine.

   Would the latest WP upgrade have blown that out?
