I entered my email address to recover the password but I am not receiving an email.
– Have a read of this codex: http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#E-mailed_passwords_are_not_being_received
– Also, ask your hosting provider if any of their SMTP filtering rules have changed recently.
I’m really new to all of this. I used an outlook email address and I’m still not sure of how to proceed.

please review the codex for instructions.
I did, but I didn’t understand what it was saying. I suppose I will just uninstall wordpress and reinstall it to start over.
A lot of the links are dead in the article. No worries. I copied and pasted most of it.
I tried to login to my blog from my iPad and received an error message that my username or password was incorrect. (It wasn’t) When I clicked “Forgot your password” and input my username, it told me that there was no such username. (Not true)
Since it was the first time I’d tried to access the site from my iPad, I decided to switch back to my computer. The same username and password are already populated and I was able to access the site. HOWEVER, when I input that same information manually, I received the error message that my username or password were incorrect.
I’d love to know what’s going on.
Intrestingly enough, I uninstalled wordpress. I reinstalled it creating a new name and password and I’m receiving the same error.

@rdbrannon: Have you spoken to your hosts about this? It sounds like a server issue to me.
I’m awaiting their reply.
I’m not sure what they did, but they fixed it.
