I have 3 computers here @ home office all updated. I can nto loginto but ONE computer the other two can not log into the WP blog which i can on my laptop but not the other CPU s which are towers with XP home. Neve had this problem before NEED HELP so I can use the other units to work on my blog even re set the pw several times still not logging in. I have IE 8 Chrome & FF on these CPU as I do on my laptop which works well. so far !!

also when I m in WP it will sometimes log me OUT & then I need to request another PW.... On the other two computers I can NOT log in to my WP at all !! This does not make any sense to me and I use computers every day for work !! -

Posted 1 year ago #I have not done anything to the settings in the server I did replace the login.php with a new one WP 3.01 also I can not log in to the WP from any other computer here in my office at hone XP home

Posted 1 year ago #To start with, try this to troubleshoot:
-deactivating all plugins. If the problem goes away, activate them individually to find the cause.
If you don't have access to to your admin area, try deactivating them manually via FTP or phpMyAdmin.
-switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific issue.
-If the above steps do not resolve the issue, Download WordPress again and replace your copies of everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies.

Wonder Why I can not OPEN the WP on the other CPU OS is XP as opposed to Vista OS I m using on this laptop ?? -

That's nto ... well, that's not how WP works :) What I want to know is what happens when you try to login with the OLD password?

Delete ALL your browser cookies. Clean EVERY scrap of browser cache. You've got something on your computers that's not right.

Yes. Your posts are in the database. Replacing the files will NOT hurt your posts.

the only file config is wp-config-sample which is a php file is that the ONE to not replaces as well as the wp-content. The other problem is that on the other CPU OS XP I can NOT log into the WP at all just on the one laptop logs in after i request another pw...very strange stuff are we invaded with WP aleins here :-)) very very frustrating the theme i use is flexibility 2 thanks for all your assistance -

wp-config.php is not included in the WP zip file. That's okay.
Delete ALL your browser cookies. Clean EVERY scrap of browser cache. You've got something on your computers that's not right.

I replaced all files except the 2 you referred not to.
I can put a new PW in & it will stay on for a few minutes then pops me OUT of WP then I have to re log in with same PW unless i log out myself then I have to reset pw. On the other OS XP cpu I can not log in at all ( the computer i use that has trouble is OS Vista ;-(
This really does not make sense I m working to shut dwn the plug ins now thanks -

I use Vista but never had any login problem.

what is happening now is when I paste a new PAGE into PAGES it logs me OUT I have gone in & out 20 x s now & I m at a lose here
so in the wp ( not ftp which i have ) where do i look to get back to default ?
