i am having problems importing anything to my wordpress, themes,plugins,xml files..
i exported information from 1 blog, and want to import to my new blog?everytime i try to import i get this message?
The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
i have tried this numerous times and yet still get same results, the file is not a large file, its only 1mb
any help guys, this is driving me mad

How are you trying to import everything? Themes & plugins and uploads will need to be added via ftp most likely - the import tool should be able to import your posts based on the xml file you export from the old blog.
I would guess you are getting that error either from an issue with your web browser/computer firewall or it could possibly be due to your webhost - maybe they have a very low php memory limit or are using an older version of php? I would check the site on a few different computers/browsers and also check with your webhost.

at present i have subscribed to vps hosting, its not really the posts i want import it the pages?
is there any other way to import just the pages? i used worpress importer on other webhosts and eveything worked fine,i have around 130 pages which i need to import to my site..
i have attempted a number of times with the wordpress importer, but still get the same problem..
