can not get into wordpress admin page..

I think my wordpress installation is broken. When I try to go to the admin page, it says file not found, even though the folder is there and there are files inside (<site name>/main/wp-admin. I believe all my blog posts and pictures are stored in the database. Can I just delete all the wordpress files and do a fresh reinstall? I also have my theme so i can reinstall that as well. Is there a better /less time consuming way?
