I have a stand alone blog, but I do testing here:

I just cannot seem to get HD versions of videos to work no matter what. I've opened support tickets on this and have not had a satisfactory answer. I'm about to dump Videopress, although in concept it seems like it would be great, all I can seem to get it to display is low res versions.

If you go to the page above and scroll down to the bottom, the Quicktime video I uploaded has dimensions of 1280px X 544px. No matter how I try to display it: No dimensions specifiec, 640px wide, 1280px wide, all I ever get is low res with no option for HD.

WHAT does one have to do to get the nice HD versions of videos to show up that I've seen on pages touting this plugin????

OK, so I've been told that the width to height ratio can affect display resolution. So at the page above I uploaded a version at 1280 x 720 (167MB file) and I STILL get a low res version!!!

@vich11 -- you should be seeing the "HD" button if you are uploading HD content.

Can you please contact WordPress.com support with details, and then we can take a look: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

    thanks.
