I password protect them through my cpanel of the host.
Ohh okie Andrea. Good to know! Thanks.
Andrea,
I downloaded and installed that plugin. I can’t seem to make any changes when I try to edit sites and enter a password for a user, it tells me settings changed but the password field is still blank. If I check Public>No under Site Info, then hit Update Options, again–it just goes away. It seems like there are lots of options scattered among the various areas of the admin, and no matter what I do I can’t password protect the sub directories.
It;s less about password protecting and more about the option that says “only logged in users assigned to the blog can see it”.
This way you can really control access to the blog.
