Following a visit to Google Webmaster Tools, where I discovered that my site is slower than 97% of all sites, I am looking for a way of reducing the size of my web pages which each have several large images. Would Lightbox Plus be a solution to this? Does the larger image only get transferred upon a click by the website visitor?

Posted 1 year ago #Yes, the larger image is only transferred when the thumbnail is clicked.
However, if you site is running that slowly you might consider some other optimizations such as W3 Total Cache.
