Can Lightbox Plus reduce size of posts with lots of images

    Following a visit to Google Webmaster Tools, where I discovered that my site is slower than 97% of all sites, I am looking for a way of reducing the size of my web pages which each have several large images. Would Lightbox Plus be a solution to this? Does the larger image only get transferred upon a click by the website visitor?

    Yes, the larger image is only transferred when the thumbnail is clicked.

    However, if you site is running that slowly you might consider some other optimizations such as W3 Total Cache.

    Thanks for your suggestions. I am trying both plugins out. Initial results look promising.
