I have a Woocommerce shop set up. How can a try MarketPress without losing my woocommerce shop contents or configurations? Do I deactivate woocommerce plugin?

    Thanks,

    Jeff

    Hi @Jeffepro

Yes just disable WooCommerce and everything should be preserved. If you are worried it might be worth taking a backup first :-)

I've installed and starting testing some products. I still have products from the previous woocommerce install, which it seems to include, but, doesn't seem to include my old categories.

If I go to the Marketpress/store Page, the Sidebar (Category Menu) widget I added is there, and I can go to Products, Cart, etc. OK

But, if I go to Products Page (under Marketpress Menu, or from Store Page), I get to a page listing all my products with no sidebar, breadcrumbs, or any other way to navigate through the products. Same if I go to a product category page, or a single product, I then lose the Sidebar and Product Categories Drop-Down Menu. How to I maintain the Product Categories Menu on all Pages within Marketpress?

    Thanks

Maybe WooCommerce use some of the same names as we do which conflicts.

You will need to re-create things that aren't already there such as the categories.

As for the sidebar, this is probably a page template right? Can you apply this page template to the products page?

I think I'll have to try again with a fresh install, that will be better. Clean start to make sure nothing is conflicting.

    Thanks
