• Each site will have its own header, footer, widget area and a few pages that are unique to that site, for example the About page.

But i would like to allow each site to share the content area only of the product pages. I want to have only one copy of the product pages (content area) so i only have to update it in one place and all of the sites get the update.

    Thank You!
    Steve

  • Unless you use noindex meta tag, what you are trying to do may amount to duplicate content. Read how Google views it here.

Never thought of that – Thanks.
Unfortunately i don’t have much choice because these are all dealers that sell the same product line and want their own individual site.

forgetting Google for the moment, is there a way i can do this?

Try mirror sites, of which I place a link to Wikipedia here. Several sites such as http://sourceforge.net/ and WikiLeaks have successfully implemented such sites. As I have not tried it, I am not sure about how to create such sites.
