Hi - Ive updated to the latest version Twenty Twelve and things have gone wrong. I have a complete back up of the last theme 2011 and would like to get back to it, is this possible? Thanks

You can revert themes, this is one flexibility aspect of WordPress. Switch to 2011.

Even though my 2011 has been completely customized by someone? And do you mean change it back in Dashboard-Updates. Sorry, photographer so wordpress dummy...

If you have the customised 2011 theme, then you can revert back to it.
Is that theme available within the dashboard?

And do you mean change it back in Dashboard-Updates

No, I meant you can switch between themes of the versions available. E.g You can switch between Twenty Twelve Version 100 and Twenty Eleven version 200.

No its not in the dashboard but under Appearance - Themes I have my customized JW 2012 theme (running) and then underneath, 2011 & 2010 BUT these aren't the customized version, they preview the standard wordpress version. Thanks

If you have customized any Theme and did not use a Child Theme, loosing your customization after the update is normal behavior.

Unfortunately the answer is negative, you won't be able to revert back. Always read before making an update, WordPress will tell you that if you update, all customizations will be deleted.

Last solution is to contact your host and see if you have any backups available.

I see thanks Emil. I made a Dropbox backup before I switched. Should that get me back? Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated. Cheers
