Can I make the font bigger in this theme?

    It really depends on the theme and how the author structured the CSS. Usually you can just open the CSS file and change the size for content (post and/or page).
    It’s recommended you make a child theme. Read more about child themes – http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes
