    Hi,

I wish to make my blog private. It would be a bonus if I could keep the posts up now as not private. I cannot find the button to make the whole thing go private. What are my options.

P.S. To whoever trolls these posts. Thank you.

    1. create a robots.txt file.
    2. paste the following code into the file

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /

    3. save it. and upload it to the root of your website.

It won't make your site private, but it will stop Google and all other search engines from visiting/indexing your site.

  3. If you are referring to a WordPress.COM blog then you're in the wrong support forum.

For an explanation of the differences see this link.

If you're running a self-hosted WordPress.ORG installation, then give this plugin a look.
