Can I keep my plugins

Hi,
My wife’s site has been hacked. It even gave me a virus, so I won’t give the address as you may get it! (gives you a fake antivirus software, which security essentials seems unable to cope with).
The index page, content index and admin index all get the below script at the top, I delete and a few minutes later it re-appears!
It is a new site so no content on it. I don’t mind scrapping it and starting again but have paid for the shopping cart gold plugin, will I loose this if I re-instal?
Also the username is admin on the wp-admin, is this a problem and where do I change it?
