Can I have my own Robots.txt if WordPress is installed in root directory? (2 posts)

I saw somewhere that WordPress uses it's own hidden version of Robots.txt and that you shouldn't create a Robots.txt in the same directory that WordPress is installed. I need to manually DISALLOW sub-directories, and wonder if this will be a problem if I install WordPress in the root directory of my domain.

You can create your robots.txt file in the root of your domain to disallow certain directories. There is no problem crating this.
