Can I have multiple installations of WP in different languages to build…

My hosting service provider allows me to have one domain, but any number of databases.
Can I have multiple installations of WP in different languages to build separate sites in each language while using a separate subdomain for each site?
For instance,

The Home page of the Site can be www.mydomain.com which can be populated with a horizontal menu where each menu item represents a different language site, and each such item is linked to a separate subdomain?

The Home page of the English language Site may be ​en.mydomain.com which can be populated with a horizontal menu where each menu item represents a separate section of English language site

The Home page of the Hindi language Site may be ​hn.mydomain.com which can be populated with a horizontal menu where each menu item represents a separate section of Hindi language site

And, so on… for different languages like Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, etc.
Will this approach work without creating any practical problem?
