I'm in the process of moving my website to be all wordpress hosted. Right now I have my wordpress blog under the subdomain blog.lizstabbertphoto.com and the rest of the site hosted elsewhere as http://www.lizstabbertphoto.com. Once I move to all wordpress I'd like to be able to keep the blog posts under the subdomain and have the pages show up as http://www.lizstabbertphoto.com/somepage
Is that possible? Or will I have to move everything to the root domain?
[No bumping. If it's that urgent, consider hiring someone.]
It's possible. just migrate all your folder to that directory that you wanted using FTP.

But that would move everything, not just the pages wouldnt it? I'm not sure how to move just the pages & make it so new pages I create go to the same place.
I think the simplest way to do that would be to set up a new WordPress installation in multi-site mode. Then use it to set up your main site, and import your old blog as a secondary site, which you can then point the subdomain at.

I'll look into that. I'm using Thesis theme which is only licensed for one site though, so I'm not sure I'd be able to install it twice, even if it's under the same domain.
I'm open to more complicated options too!

Ok, it looks like I can use my single copy of Thesis across a multisite (doesn't have to be installed twice because of the nifty multisite setup). I think I'm going to go that route. Cross your fingers for me ;-)
