Can I fake the hacker by editing the meta tag? (1 post)

    Hi all,

    I am now using WordPress 2.2.3.

    I would like to know, apart from completely removing the meta tag in header.php, can I avoid my WordPress from attacking by changing the version number in meta tag to the latest version, say 2.8?
