Hello, I am quite new in this so my questions may seem like dummies but please help me because I am lost. I installed WordPress through my host provider service ans its fine, but I was wondering if I can install wordpress at my pc at home and update its entries from my computer rather than logging to the host service or at the internet. Can this be done?

Not easily. Why would you want to do that anyway?

thank you I will come back to you for any furher assistance considering that part. Now another question: I need to make wordpress blog resemble my website but I can not enter that field because it is very difficult for me to work with codes. Where can I find information or ask for help?

marcialekos, Weblog_Client software may be what you are looking for but it isn't the same as installing WordPress at home, as you asked in your original post. You'll be able to do a lot of work on your posts at home without an internet connection and without logging in but the software will still need a web connection and login data in order to publish your material to the online server. Without publishing to that online server no one but you can see your posts.

You can ask for help here, but if you are not comfortable with code you'll have to contract the work or find a friend to do it.

Yes I understand that, thank you. I just want to skip my connection to the internet for some time.

Consiering the last question I have no idea where to get started. I am definetely going to ask for some help. Thanks.

@marcialekos: Google "converting HTML/XHTML to WordPress theme"

@apljdi: I just posted Weblog Clients because that was the straightest line between the two points - home computer to online posting :-)

mercime, got it. You are absolutely right. Client software is about the best most people could hope for.
