Following my most recent automatic upgrade (which resulted in a lenghty maintenance mode outage) I noticed a large file (70MB) called CORE in my home directory. I don't have this file in my other WP bog directories, what is it? Is it safe to delete it?
That's a server PHP dump file. Try contacting your hosts about it.

Thank you esmi! I contacted dreamhost and they confirmed that I can delete the file.
