    Hi
I'm new to this. Want to create a photo blog. I have WordPress 3.0.1 and Photocrati themes installed on a hosted web site (by blue host).

My question is, can I install Woredpress and Photocrati locally on my computer, and upload any changes to the actual published web site on my domain?

I have both WP and Photocrati installed successfully on my website, but with a slow internet connection, I would ideally create the site locally, and upload it when complete. Is that doable? Suggestions on how to go about it?
    Thanks
    Bill

Depending on if you're on Windows or Linux, use Apache Friends - XAMPP or Install PHP 5 Apache MySQL on Windows : WampServer or MAMP: Mac, Apache, MySQL, PHP for a local dev environment.

Then see Moving WordPress « WordPress Codex to learn how to move your theme folder, uploads and also export/import the database to the live server. You have to move the database, as that theme stores settings in the database, and those won't transfer if you simply do the XML export/import.
