• It might be a dumb question, but I’ve been trying all day to find the answer … have decided to ‘ask for directions’! 🙂

Is there a way to create taxonomy to taxonomy relationships, as opposed to taxonomy to post?

    e.g.

Tom is an actor in Film A
Dick is the director of Film A
Harry is the producer of Film A

Tom is both an actor in and director of Film B
Dick is an actor in Film B
Harry is the producer of Film B

Can I have ‘people’, ‘actor’, ‘director’ and ‘producer’ taxonomies where Tom has only one entry (in ‘people’) then in a film post specify a taxonomy relationship people:actor; people:director etc. …

… so that a search would return “Film A (post) – Actor (taxonomy); Film B (post) – Actor (taxonomy), Director (taxonomy)” …

… or is the only way to create a ‘people’ (custom) post for Tom and custom fields in the films posts for ‘Actor’, ‘Director’, etc. to hold relationships to the “Tom” post?

Hope I’m phrasing this question correctly. There’s a distinct possibility that trying to solve the challenge has driven me mad! :-O
