Can child post type be assigned to multiple parent post types? (2 posts)

I am trying this plugin out for a project I am working on. What I am trying to achieve is allow a child post type to be assigned to multiple parent post types.

    For example:

    1. I have an Event post type that contains information about the event. Date, time, location.

    2. I have a Venue post type that contains information about a particular venue. Address, hours of operations, phone number. This post type is a child of Events.

An Event, may take place at a Venue multiple times. So it would be make sense that a user can select an old Venue they have previously created.

Is this functionality supported by Types already? Or would this have to be custom?

    Thanks

Not directly. You can do this via Taxonomy or an intermediate post type. See the explanation here:
