Can blog admin (not network admin) add new user? (6 posts)

This is the only way I see to add a new user to a blog in a network:

    1. The user signs in at the root blog to create his account.
    2. A super admin uses Add a new user at ms-sites.php?action=editblog&id=x to assign that user to blog x.
    3. The individual blog's admin can then modify that user's permissions if they need to be different than what the super admin specified.

Is there any way to do this without requiring super admin intervention?

  2. Go to Super Admin -> Options.

Is "Allow site administrators to add new users to their site via the "Users->Add New" page." checked?

I can't do that. We're using the Active Directory Integration module, and I don't want non-AD accounts being used. Otherwise we have no reliable way of managing account lifecycle and affirming true user identity across all the blogs.

  4. Then you'll have to write something custom.

  5. What she said. I'd contact the devs of ADI and ask if they can make this work on Multisite better :)
