Can anyone suggest a calendar plugin that is still being supported? (7 posts)

I am trying (in vain) to find a calendar/event type plugin that is still being supported. I have so far installed and scrapped 20+ plugins to try to manage an event section of a site but none of them do exactly what I need (display a list of events with month separators) and I cannot get any help from the plugin writers. It's very frustrating. I have spent literally hours on this problem. We currently work around it by creating a post and dating them in the future, then adding a post with the title of the month, but obviously this is really sloppy. Please help!

I'm actively developing and providing support for http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/my-calendar/ - from what you describe, it should be able to provide what you need pretty readily.

    Or try:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/calendar-plus/

Guaranteed bug-free or triple your money back. Of course it does not cost anything either :)

I am trying to use Calendar Plus on http://jbizchicago.com/events/ the calendar appears but the events I put in don't appear. I put in the code {CALENDAR 1} I have four events but when I put in {CALENDAR} not even the calendar appears.
It looks like a nice calendar though.

feel free to also post at: http://webjunk.com/wordpress

Can you tell me an example event. You did create it under MANAGE EVENTS?
Just copy an entire line from one event. Also let me know what shortcode you are using in your Page and the category ID for that event.
Have this plugin on dozens & dozens of sites right now and all are working. Would like to know what the issue is. Am in the middle of a new version although it has nothing to do with functionality.

    Oh. Make sure you have:

    set to YES

    Thanks Webjunk!
I needed to put in the shortcode {CALENDAR 1,2,3,4} and I had put in the code {CALENDAR 1} but there were no events in the General category.
It works fine now at http://jbizchicago.com/events/
Thank you very much for creating the plugin. It is exactly what I was looking for.
