I am making a country portal, so Can i develop Big Country portal in WordPress.
If possible What precautions should i make while developing so and what plugin and steps should i follow.
Can a Big Country portal be made in WordPress (6 posts)

Probably but ... I have no idea what you mean by 'country portal' so generally the answer is this: WordPress can run most types of websites.

I first build my site in joomla but due to some reasons like loading, seo and security i decided to move on to WP

Generally, yes. However it would be better to use posts instead of pages, just because of how they're handled with regards to permalinks.

I have well over 1000 posts, pages and custom post types on my site :) No probs.

Using too many pages MIGHT cause problem.

However you want. I would suggest having the date, or some static 'slug' in your permalinks.
