[resolved] Calling map (shortcode) using a custom field instead of map's id? (6 posts)

    Best maps plugin ever.

Is it possible to set a custom field to the map and use it in the shortcode instead of the map's id?

    Thanks :)

Custom field is currently not supported - but you can add maps directly by the shortcode [mapsmarker lat="xx" lon="xx"] without saving them to your database first.
    regards,
    Robert

PS: As I give support for free, I´d appreciate your review at http://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/leaflet-maps-marker ;-)

I've only just started using this plugin. I've used the shortcode [mapsmarker mlat="1234" mlon="5678"], works fine.

Are there any other parameters that this shortcode will take? ie, rather than creating a map, the shortcode could be inserted into a page template and lookup an address field from a form. something like
    - [mapsmarker address1="## Street, Suburb, City" popup="Description"]

only mlat und mlon is accepted as shortcode - I will check if this can be changed, but as I remember correctly, there were some issues in the past...

I'd really love to see this feature - you're plugin looks awesome, but I need to be able to use a custom field as the address to create the map. Looking forward to seeing this feature!
