    There is nothing unusual about this for a social sharing plugin. Every major sharing widget (including this one) works the same way. One of the benefits of such setup is that share buttons keep working properly, even when there are API changes at social networking sites. This can be a major advantage for many websites that do not update their plugins regularly.
