Calender on my sites sidebar - hardcoded (5 posts)

If anyone can help with this they will be awesome.

My theme for some reason doesn't use widgets. So The first point is that I have to hardcode something in to the widget area.

    What I want:

A calender added to my Music mag site on the sidebar.

The thing is, it needs to be open to ANYONE to add an event to it. The idea is bands come on the site, add their event and then go away.

I'm not sure if this is possible. At the moment I have this going through my SMF board:

Can anyone help me? I've managed to get a calender added once, but it wasn't interactive - only allowed me to add events.

That's not how the native WP calendar function/widget works. It's basically another way of navigating to daily post archives. Sounds like you need an event management/calendar plugin.

Yeah i installed an event calendar, but i've still not found one that allows guests to add their own events.
