Hi all,
As my username indicates I'm completely new to WordPress. I'm trying to make a website that would have an interactive calendar that any logged-in visitor could post to. I've seen some of the plugins for WordPress and I'm not impressed - I want something that looks better graphically, like Google Calendar or ideally VT Calendar so that my visitors didnt all need google accounts. Is it possible to integrate VT Calendar into a WordPress site? Any other suggestions?

Try with calender widget of wordpress which you can add from wordpress admin area -> appearance -> widgets section..

If you want to use Google calendar in WP you need the wpng-calendar
pluigin. Search in the extend area on here to find it.

WordPress' calendar functions (and all widgets I have seen to date) just aren't going to cut it for the heavy duty calendar functionality I need. I too would like to replace VT Calendar with something WordPress-based. I feel that WordPress could make a great platform for a heavy-duty events calendar (my organization has hundreds of events a month -too much to fit into a standard "month view") but I think it would need to have a dedicated theme designed to display events (which would be entered as posts).
Does anyone know if someone has come up with such a beast?
