    hello community,
i am trying to implement our page in wordpress, we are an NGO that works in the field of electronic arts.

we have 3 different article types, that should be posted. these are as follows

    * news (archiving, date-based, not shown in the calendar)
    * articles (archived, not date-based, not shown in the calendar)
    * events (archived, date-based, start and end date, shown in the calendar)

is it possible to archieve this with wordpress?
as i like the system i want to use it, but i am not sure how this could be done...

any ideas? any hacks or plugins yet?

    thanks
    matthias

    ps. i just found
    http://wiki.wordpress.org/EventCalendar2
but here we have the problem, that events that would last for more than one day are not possible to be shown in the calendar. is it possible to put multiple dates on an entry? (so it would show up on several dates) i also don't know how to make articles date-independent, so they wouldn't show up in the calendar at all.
    thanks for your time!

For this one the easy answer is: use the Pages feature in WP 1.5.

    thanks for your answer, moshu
but my problem is that i want them still to be listable respectively sorted and also displayed in a list. as far as i understood the pages-feature, this is mainly for static pages. or am i wrong?

for the categories that shouldn't be visible in the calendar i found this to be possible with eventcalendar2. my current problem is how to set entries that have a start and ending date, so they show up on several days in the calendar.
