   Hi
   I really like the calendar at http://lectures.syr.edu/ in the showcase
   Using posts for events is a great idea but the front page display is mostly of interest to me.

   How did they do that? Is there a plugin to achieve that result?

   You'd have to do some more investigation, but I'd say they were probably using these two plugins:

   http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ical-for-events-calendar/
