BWPS and Google bots (3 posts)

A week after BWPS was installed we got our first "Site Lockout Notification" and were very excited. Only to learn that the IP was a google bot. See below.

My concern is that this will prevent Google from properly indexing our site. Especially after reading this snippet.

FYI -- current release of BWPS will block WP Remote again if Filter Suspicious Query Strings or Prevent long URL strings are active in "tweaks."

the above two tweaks would also stop the regular password reset function of wordpress. it should have an exception for native wordpress queries and requests, or something like that, if i'm missing :-)
