Button To Send To Mid Page or End Of Page

    Can someone provide me some assistance? I have a long post (8000 words) and to make it more user friendly, I’d like to make a button that pushes the reader to a certain part of the page (halfway mark) and not another post on the site.

    Is there a place I can find the appropriate coding to do this?

    Put a link where you need it:
    <a href="#middle">Go to the middle »</a>
    And an ANCHOR at the destination:
    <a id="middle"></a>
