I have just installed and activated Bulletproof Security. I wonder how I set up password protection on my site - if possible.

Need to protect some of the content until release.

If you go to the BPS Edit/Upload/Download page and click on the "Your Current wp-admin htaccess File" tab you will see help information in the wp-admin .htaccess file on how to add password protection for your wp-admin folder.

Directory Password Protection is called BasicAuth and you would add this directory protection from your Web Host Control Panel. Personally I do not recommend doing this, but if your entire site is in Development then you could setup Directory Password Protection for your entire website.

Another option is to put your website in Maintenance Mode so that ONLY you can access and view it. Everyone else would see a Website Under Maintenance page.
