Bullet points not working except for in WYSIWYG (11 posts)

    So I have searched for hours and I am now at a lost on how to get my bullet points to work in my theme. So I have read a ton of reviews and made the changes, but can not seem to get them to work. They appear indented and bulleted in the WYSIWYG but not when I view it from my site timjthyne.com. Is there someone who is able to help me please?

    I have attempted to change ol, ul { list-style:none; margin:0; } to ol, ul { list-style:square; margin:0; }, but had not luck with that either.

    Thank you!!

    You did not mention what Theme you are using. I see that it is in a directory called "respo" but couldn't find a theme in the WordPress Repository by that name, though there are two that start with those letters.

    please post a direct link to a post or page with ordered/unordered lists inserted.

    make sure to increase the left margin;

    example to get bullets in the content of posts or pages:

    .hentry ol { list-style:decimal; margin:0 0 0 25px; }
    .hentry ul { list-style:square; margin:0 0 0 25px; }

    Thanks, Here is the theme I am referring to: http://themnific.com/respo-theme/

    A example of where I would like the bullets can be found on timjthyne.com/how-to-network-in-college or on the about me page.

    Thank you for all your help with this and I look forward to hearing back.

    in the 'how-to-network' post, the only line which is an unordered list, seems to be:

    -Personally introduce yourself…this will help leave a lasting impression.

    adding the before mentioned styles brings out the bullet:

    .hentry ol { list-style:decimal; margin:0 0 0 25px; }
    .hentry ul { list-style:square; margin:0 0 0 25px; }

    you might need to clear the browser cache to see the effect of the change.

    Where should I add that code in my css. style sheet?

    I did not add the bullets to all of the points, just that one for testing purposes.

    basically anywhere - as long as you don't break the css syntax.

    for example after the ol, ul {...} style near the top.

    I spoke too soon...I just tried to update my bullet points on the about- me page http://timjthyne.com/about-me/ and I am having the same problem. Ugh. They are showing up in the editor but not on the actually page. Is there another code I will need to add in for this problem?

    tha static page does not have the .hentry css class for the content;

    change .hentry to .entry

    i.e.

    .entry ol { list-style:decimal; margin:0 0 0 25px; }
    .entry ul { list-style:square; margin:0 0 0 25px; }

    try to work with a tool such as Firebug http://getfirebug.com/ to investigate these kind of formatting problems.

    I will do that as I have more problems. No my css looks like this:

    html,body,div,span,object,iframe,h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6,p,blockquote,pre,a,abbr,address,cite,code,del,dfn,em,img,ins,q,small,strong,sub,sup,dl,dt,dd,ol,ul,li,fieldset,form,label,legend,table,caption,tbody,tfoot,thead,tr,th,td{border:0;margin:0;padding:0}article,aside,figure,figure img,figcaption,hgroup,footer,header,nav,section,video,object{display:block}a img{border:0}figure{position:relative}figure img{width:100%}

    ol, ul { list-style:none; margin:0; }

    .hentry ul { list-style:disc; margin:0 0 0 25px; }

    .hentry ol { list-style:disc; margin:0 0 0 25px; }

    .entry ol { list-style:disc; margin:0 0 0 25px; }

    .entry ul { list-style:disc; margin:0 0 0 25px; }

    Will that be ok since all 4 are there? I will attempt to use that tool again in the future, but I do appreciate the patience and assistance with this problem.
