   I have noticed that if I select a bunch of posts - and then select bulk edit - and then change the author field for all those posts - they don't actually change.

   It says that it has "updated (number of) posts" but it doesn't actually change the author on them.

   Any help? It is happening to both of my WordPress installs running version 2.9.

   Has any one checked WordPress Trac to see whether it's listed as a fix in 2.9.1?

   I am using 3.0.1, and I met same problem. but,

   I made a testing...deactivated all my plug-in, finally, i found out that:

   when "Google Analytics Dashboard" was activated, the bulk change post author work well....
