  • Hi, I am re-building a site http://www.micro-site.co.za.
    I have completeley removed the contents of the public_html folder.
    I have installed a new release of wordpress using softaculous.

    I now get this error when trying to access
    http://micro-site.co.za/wp-admin/

    I have tried to delete and overwrite the htaccess file numerous times. I cant get this right. Please assist.

    Here is the error.

    Not Found

    The requested URL /wp-admin/ was not found on this server.

    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

  • There doesn’t appear to me anything in the root directory of http://micro-site.co.za , except for a cgi-bin directory. At least none of the normal stuff is in there– index.php, readme.html, license.txt, etc.

    Did you remove the entire public_html directory, or just the contents? public_html should be the root and I believe that cgi-bin should be one level up from root, not in the same directory.
