[resolved] Bugsauce - thumbnails not showing (21 posts)

    I found the plugin yesterday and thought that it was the solution to my video problems (I'm working on a photographer's site, and he requeswted only recently video support, which the original theme doesn't support by default).

    So I was counting on using vimeography instead of changing my entire template. The thing is that the thumbnails on the default theme (Bugsauce) are not showing (and if they're not showing, I don't believe that changing the vimeography theme will solve this, right?).

    Can you help me?

    Here is a page with vimeography in action (n thumbs :/ )in this site I'm working on: http://wilhelmkoetzler.com.br/novosite/index.php/filmes/ (password: frajola )

    Thanks in advance :)

    Try surrounding your Vimeography shortcode in [raw][/raw] tags

    It worked! Thanks so much! (What was the problem?).

    Thanks =]

    Some themes filter the content coming from user shortcode. By placing those tags around, you're using a convention that theme developers have adapted to allow for unfiltered shortcode output.

    Thank you. There's a new error though:
    "Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/wilhelmkoetzler/www/novosite/wp-content/uploads/vimeography-themes/bugsauce/bugsauce.php on line 73"

    I don't believe I've changed anything...

    Ok, reopening this. Due to some update, the plugin stopped working properly, as you can see here: http://wilhelmkoetzler.com.br/filmes/

    I've removed the [raw] shortcode to see if something would change (it did; before, with [raw] on, the thumbnails were not showing;not the show up, just not correctly).

    Also, it's not responsive as the example here: http://vimeography.com/themes/bugsauce/ (if I redimension my window, nothing happens).

    Don't really know how to solve this. I even thought about purchasing a theme, but I believe that bugsauce is the one that best fit my needs, even though it is the free one.

    Thanks in advance.

    The [raw] brackets worked, but they are showing up on the page for some reason. Any thoughts?

    I am also having a similar problem. The video frame was exceeding the container and the thumbnails were not showing.

    After I added the raw tags it works but the layout of the thumbnails doesn't look great. Here is a link for reference:

    Any suggestions?

    Hey iamdavekiss,

    I'm having the same issue with the thumbs not appear. I tried putting the [raw] tag around the shortcode :

    <?php echo do_shortcode('[raw][vimeography id="6"][/raw]'); ?>

    Only the video appeared, the thumbs are not there, and I have [raw] and [/raw] printed on the website. Do you have any other suggestions?

    No Dave, I couldn't fix the problem:

    If you could take a look, I'd appreciate. Maybe there is some problem in the theme's code...

    Okay, add the [raw][/raw] tags again and we can move forward from there.

    I´m having this issue right now, I put the [raw][/raw] codes in my video and they appear on the site written, and theres no sign of the thumbnails anywhere. Is there other way to fix this please.

    I experience this issues as well. [raw][vimeography id="4"][/raw]
    Followed all the installation tips - no other plugins active, latest jquery and wp_head and wp_footer are called appropriately. Any thoughts?

    For all theme developers that experience issues that might relate to inclusion of important css/jquery with wp_footer, please note that wp_head() has to be called in the head in many situations for wp_footer() to function properly. Only wp_footer() in the footer of your theme won't do. :)

    Hi Dave, I found some issues with the plugin that cannot be resolved with the four steps of awesomeness that we find included in your FAQ. I recommend you look into the install/activation-process and perform some extra checks. Installing on sub-domain seems to cause issues, or it might be caused by permission issues when creating files/folders in the root of the install.

    I believe that it would solve a lot of cases in which the js/css can't be loaded. The files are simply not there (included in wp_footer(), but 404), which will lead to a broken theme in the backend and screwed up views.

    In the meantime, I'm migrating my site to another domain for development instead of the subdomain. Install seems to work fine then.

    Ty for the plugin. Great potential but some things still require your attention. :)
