Can someone inform wordpress about this bug?
Thanks
WordPress should make sure it’s 100% compatible with Internet explorer 8.
IE8 is still in beta testing. WordPress can not make itself compatible with every beta software out there.
Just as well go ask MS why they can’t make a standards compliant browser.
(IE 8 is released, no longer beta).
IE8 users always have the option of clicking a button by the address bar to go into compatibility mode while the world determines if they’re going to make adjustments for one, new, browser.
that’s right, it’s only one new browser, but according to download.com it’s already had 11,204,681 downloads:

It’s also due to be released via windows update for Windows xp users over the next few days so most people using IE7 will probably upgrade.
IE8 displays websites correctly to the highest standards, so if wordpress needs Compatibility mode then it’s not up to the highest standards and it should be.

I must be missing something basic. That profile URL http://wordpress.org/extend/ideas/profile.php?id=151374 looks equally hideous in Firefox, Safari 4 beta (windows), Chrome 2.0 (beta I think), and Opera 9.64.
So’s this one (first one I found) http://wordpress.org/extend/ideas/profile.php?id=156162
Compliance is achieved! WordPress Ideas profiles _is_ 100% compatible with IE8! Yay!
Moving on now…
Absolutely duplicatable. That link looks like crap for me in all of them.
IE8 displays websites correctly to the highest standards

lol.samboll, it was funny to find a mod who thought ie8 was still in beta.lol.
anywayz, ie8’s aim was to display websites in the most standards compliant way. U can read it here:
