Bug report: sometimes order_by doesn't work (or maybe authors are off)

    I am using the following shortcodes to showcase my student publications, split by type (eg Journal Articles, vs Conference papers), and sometimes I will get 1 particular reference that just refuses to sort properly:

    [bibliplug type="conference paper" tag="students" order_by="last_name, year, title"]

    and
    [bibliplug type="journal article" tag="students" order_by="last_name, year, title"]

    If you look at, for example: http://sbio.uct.ac.za/publications/#conference_papers

    You’ll see the first paper is:
    Thuku, RN. 2005. “The quaternary structure of Rhodococcus rhodochrous J1 nitrilase as revealed by negative staining.” Paper presented at the 44th Annual Conference of the Microscopy Society of Southern Africa. 5–7 December 2005. Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. 31. Proceedings of the Microscopy Society of Southern Africa, Vol 35.

    but the next author is Abidemi…

    Update: This only seems to happens on references with a single author, if I’ve accidentally drag-and-dropped that author as if to re-order (does that make sense?)
