Bug in thumbnails, don't go next page

    Hello,

    I have the latest version of NextGEN and this bug has been present for a very long time now… I simply wished someone would point it out earlier;-)

    Basically, on a page with thumbnails that has several pages, when you browse per picture, 2 problems occur:

    1. At the last picture of page 1, if you click next, NextGEN will get back to picture 1 from page 1. It will not go to image 1 of page 2. Simple example here:

    2. When browsing the site and it contains several galleries (one gallery per post), if you click on the last picture of a gallery and you click next, it will go to image 1 of the next gallery posted another post! Example here:
    http://www.tc-lutry.ch/page/2/
    If you go on the last pictures of July 17th and click next, it doesn’t take you on the first image of page 2 or picture 1 like described at point 1. Doing so will jump to the first picture of the gallery posted for another entry (July 16th in this case).

    All in all, very annoying and quiet surprised nobody noticed this earlier. Am I doing something wrong?

    @snoop_adv – I believe you are describing the Lightbox effect in place on your site and I see there are actually two Lightbox effects being applied to the images when clicked on.

    One appears to be coming from NextGEN Gallery but it is being overridden by another Lightbox effect which is where I believe the issues you are describing are coming from.

    I would suggest, if you are using a different Lightbox than one of the bundled libraries included with NextGEN Gallery, to turn off the Lightbox Effects under Gallery > Other Options.

    If the problem still happens you may need to address it with the author of the software that is providing the Lightbox effect (your theme or another plugin).

    Thanks photocrati, I tried what you suggested (turn off lighbox effect from NextGEN) and that didn’t work… so as you said, might come from something else.

    Problem is that this website used to be maintained by too many people that did install too many things. Would be very hard to check all elements one by one…

    If you have no other suggestion, I guess this will just stay like it is.

    @snoop_adv – Have you tried the “Add hidden images” option for NextGEN Basic Thumbnails? This may help with sorting out what you are looking for although you will likely need to use a bundled Lightbox Effect from NextGEN Gallery and will most likely need to clear the image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous after ensuring all inserted displays have been modified in the IGW Customization panel as well.
